GULISKHAN NAKHBAYEVA BECAME THE SEMIEKRAT CHAMPION OF KAZAKHSTAN

In Almaty, the Championship of Kazakhstan among women has ended, where, after 9 rounds in the classics, grandmaster Guliskhan Nakhbaeva became the country champion for the seventh time. The title of vice-champion deservedly went to Gulmira Dauletova. Honorary bronze went to Madina Davletbayeva. In total, 10 chess players of the republic met in the struggle for the title of champion of the country and the prize fund of 2.5 million KZT.

“It may seem that after the World Team Championship, the Republican Championship is a simple tournament. However, this is a big mistake, – Guliskhan admits, – All my rivals are strong chess players, who were not easy to resist. But I put maximum strength and guaranteed myself a victory with an impressive margin.”

Champion of Kazakhstan in addition to a cash prize of 600 000 KZT gets the right to be an official participant from the country in the personal championship of Asia and the zonal tournament. In total, 10 woman chess players took part in the women final. According to the results of the tournament, places from 4 to 10 were distributed respectively between: Asel Serikbay, Zeynep Sultanbek, Alfia Nasybulina, Amina Kairbekova, Meruert Kamalidenova, Elena Ankudinova and Aruzhan Shauken.

“Our champion shared that she is not going to stop there and intends to break the record of 11-time champion of the KazSSR Aida Muslimova, – says the Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, Irina Grishchenko.

The women final was held in a circular system in 9 rounds with a FIDE rating calculation. The championship was attended by winners of last year finals, winners of the semifinal of the current year, as well as members of the Kazakhstan national team.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS

Today, acceptance of applications for the Kazakhstan Rapid and Blitz Championship among women has been completed. The tournament starts on 1 May, Almaty, on the territory of the hotel “Almaty”.

Participants with an ELO rating above 2000 will compete for a prize fund of 350,000 KZT. The competition will be held according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds.

The rapid chess games will be held from 1 to 2 May, and the blitz tournament will take place on 3 May. The first three places in each type of chess will receive medals, diplomas and cash prizes.

8 MEDALS WERE SCHOOLCHILDREN OF KAZAKHSTAN AT THE WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze were taken home by Kazakhstan chess players from the World Championship among schoolchildren held in Turkey. In total, 392 chess players from 33 countries took part in the tournament.

After nine rounds of classical chess, gold medals won Hanzada Amanzhol, Elnaz Kaliahmet and Nurgali Nazerke in categories up to 7, 9 and 15 years, respectively. Silver winners were Alisher Abdsattar and Edgar Mamedov in the categories up to 7 and up to 9 years, respectively. Third places rightfully went to Ryan Zhumagali and Dinmukhamed Tulandinov in the category of up to 9 years, and Aisha Zakirova in the category of up to 11 years.

“Our schoolchildren showed excellent results, – says the head of the delegation of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, Flyura Khasanova, – Our children won 6 medals at the championship among schoolchildren last year, and 8 in the same year.”

Kazakhstan winners of this World Cup got the right to participate in the World Championship among schoolchildren next year.

“Great results at the school world championship prove that chess culture in our country continues to develop, – says the Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, Irina Grishchenko, – And the project “Chess in school” that we introduce into the system of secondary schools will only strengthen the trend.”

The World Championship among schoolchildren annually gathers the strongest representatives of secondary schools from around the world. This year the tournament was held in the Turkish city of Lara, and chess players of 7-15 years old took part in it.

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED UNTIL 30 APRIL

We remind you that applications for participation in the Kazakhstan Rapid and Blitz Championship for women must be submitted by 30 April 2019 to the email address: office@kazchess.kz

The number of participants is limited to 40 people, the advantage of the sportswomen with the highest rating on 1 April 2019.

On 1 May Kazakhstan will start the Kazakhstan Rapid and Blitz Championship among women, in which participants with an ELO rating of 2000 and higher will compete for a prize fund of 350,000 KZT. The competition is held according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds.

CHESS FESTIVAL ON ALMATY MARATHON 2019

Last weekend in Almaty on the eve of Almaty Marathon 2019 Kazakhstan Chess Federation held a chess festival for all comers.

On April 19 and 20, at the fair in front of the Almaty Marathon, parties for “Bike Shah” passed, which found its fans wishing to compete in an intellectual game during a dynamic training session on a stationary bike.

Simultaneous game sessions with grandmasters Rustam Khusnutdinov and Arsen Yegizaryan, master classes from Ayan Akhmetov, competitions for solving chess problems from Asylkhan Karayev and Stanislav Zybin also gathered dozens of chess fans. Guests of the fair tried their hand at playing with recognized chess masters and received valuable tips on the tactics of the game..

The next day, April 21, a blitz tournament for all comers was held on the territory of the start-finish of the Almaty Marathon. Despite the fatigue after the race and cloudy weather, there were a lot of people willing to compete in chess skills.

The game, for which there is no age, united in an intellectual battle both very young schoolchildren and experienced veterans. Prizes are also distributed among representatives of different generations.

After the game, lovers of intellectual sports could try themselves as models of chess face painting.

TOURNAMENT AMONG STUDENT TEAMS CAME TO AN END

The chess tournament among Kazakhstani universities, held on the territory of the KIMEP University, came to an end. The first two places went to the teams of the University of IITU, the University of Energy and Communications won bronze, the Agrarian Academy took the fourth place, KIMEP got the fifth place.

The personal results of the competition were summed up as well. On the first board, Kasim Diyar from Turan University showed the best result, scoring 7 points out of 7. Representative of the IITU-1 team Akhmetov Ayan got 6.5, Atakhanov Tleumberdi from the Agrarian University scored 6 points.

The results for the second boards were as follows. Mezentsev Ivan (IITU-1) scored 6.5 points. Bakyt Yersain from the University of Energy got 6, Saparbayeva Sitora from Kazakh German University also scored 6 points.

On the third board, Kembaev Bakhytzhan, a representative of the national team of IITU-2, scored 6.5 points, Hamit Daulet from ALMA University got 6 points, Nasybulina Alfiya from IITU-1 scored 5.5.

The best results on the fourth boards were shown by Evgeniya Marinushkina from KIMEP-2 with a score of 7 points, Muratova Anel (IITU-1) scored 6.5 points, Kozybaeva Alisa (IITU-2) got 6.5 points.

The winners were awarded medals and cups of 1, 2, 3 degrees, as well as memorable prizes.

22 CHESS PLAYERS WILL TAKE PART IN THE FINAL OF KAZAKHSTAN CHAMPIONSHIP

On April 21, the Final of the Kazakhstan Chess Championship starts in Almaty. 22 strongest chess players of the country will play out the prize fund of the tournament of 5 million tenge. Champions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, separately among men and women, in addition to a cash prize of 600,000 tenge, will be entitled to represent Kazakhstan at the Asian Championships, Central Asian Cup and Zonal tournament 3.4.

“The members of the national team, the winners of last year’s finals, the winners of the semifinal of the 2018 Kazakhstan Championship and the champions of the country among juniors will meet in the finals. Eminent domestic chess players and rising stars of chess sports as Murtas Kazhgaleev, Anuar Ismagambetov, Denis Makhnev, Petr Kostenko, Guliskhan Nakhbaeva, Madina Davletbaeva, Gulmira Dauletova, Assel Serikbay and others will take part in the final.

The men’s final will be held in 11 rounds and will last until May 2, the women’s final consists of 9 rounds and will end on April 29th. The tournament is held in a circular system with a rating calculation in FIDE. All finalists receive guaranteed cash prizes, holders of gold, silver and bronze medals are also awarded with medals and diplomas. Today, champions of Kazakhstan are Murtas Kazhgaleev and Guliskhan Nakhbaeva.
