The final games of the Akbozat National School League in classic chess are held in Nur-Sultan, where the strongest students who showed the best results in the three preliminary stages, are fighting for victory in the competition.

The abilities acquired during the game are extremely important in the life of any person, no matter what profession he chooses, – says the General Director of the “National Research and Practical Centre for Physical Culture of the MES of the RoK” RNE Mustafayev Sadyk Shonmurynovich, – That’s why it is necessary to train these skills since school days.”
The tournament is attended by students who have passed 3 qualifying stages: competitions between classes within schools, district competitions between schools and regional competitions among the winners of the second stage. The tournament is held among two age groups – grades 5-8 and 9-11. Teams of secondary schools in the age group of grades 1-4 participate outside the competition.
“Today’s schoolchildren are the future of our country, and our task is to develop chess in schools, so that in the future they, being in key position, could quickly make unmistakable decisions,” says Irina Grishchenko, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.
The teams that took the first three places in the final competitions of the fourth stage are awarded cups and diplomas of the corresponding degrees of the “National Research and Practical Centre for Physical Culture of the MES of the RoK” RNE, and the winning team in the age group below 2005 gets the right to participate in the “White rook 2019” International tournament, Russian Federation, and the trip is sponsored by the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.
9 teams from Astana city, Almaty city, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, and Mangystau regions are involved among the 5-8 classes.
Among the 9-11 classes, there are also 9 teams from Astana city, Almaty city, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar and Mangystau regions. According to the results of the first round, the teams of Pavlodar and Mangystau regions are leading.
